Can you guys start making a search system within our own blogs? i.e., I wanna relate a post I am typing at the moment to a post I typed three months ago, but to find the exact post I’d need to go through page after page of posts, it would be easier if there’s a search system where i can search “within” my own blog (unlike the current one which search through other people’s as well).

Hi Patrick, it looks like you are the “Man” with the video and photo options! Can you tell me how to protect my photoblogs, I can only get them to be public or private and can’t get the protected button to work. Thank you in advance for helping me stay safe.
First, awesome! I’ve been hoping for some sort of video goodness like this.
Second, I wasn’t sure whose blog to post this to, but you guys should allow tracking with Google Analytics (which is now free). The problem is when a person adds the tracking information in to the skin right now, your server takes the line…
and makes it in to just . I understand why (security reasons probably), but it would be cool if you allowed Google Analytics to pass by.
that didn’t turn out right, but basically it edits the script tag and removes the source of the .js file, thus rendering the whole thing useless.
ths is awesome! now if i could only figure out how to convert the vids on my cellphone to things xanga can accept…

Thank you for replying so quickly about the xanga boost, & for your well wishes for my dad. Stop in again to see what happened since the accident. I am going to try to set up a way to accept donations for my parents on here. Is there any way you could help get the word out? Maybe making it a high profile xanga for awhile or something to increase my traffic?

Instead of saying it’s for Premium users, maybe you ought to say “people with high speed connections”, since some of us are still on dial-up. To be honest, I don’t want to see someone harassing birds, anyways. Not nice.
hey i think that you guys should make more space available for “interests” and “expertise”..because some people (likeme) have scrollbars..if you could do that then xanga will be better than myspace.

Hey guys, you are all doing an awesome job with the photoblogs and tags and everything, but this is the real burning question: Will there ever be a modification that will allow non-Xanga members comment on our sites? I can see from my footprints that dozens of readers trot across my blog from many different cities and countries, and I would love to hear from them and have them engage with discussions on the site. But they can’t! It’s tempting to move to LJ for that reason… but tell me there will be open commenting someday. : (

Your page layout is awesome. Easy to navigate and uniform, a very appealing blog. I was wonder if I could have the code you used for your navigation header (RSS – subscribe – photos – videos – profile)?
I think that featuring that header would add some of the easy navigation your blog features while still maintaining the look that I’m going for. If you can provide any help I’d very much appreciate it. Anyways, hope to hear from you soon and maybe get the code. Thanks.

1st off thats not much.
2nd it goes by eprops, and in what amount of time, and for one post.
3rd did you actually go to the featured page? there are two, one for classic and one for premium. the ones on the main xanga page are just random from the premium page…..same with newly updated. the newly update page shows who has most recently update in order, and on the main xanga page is just random users from that page.
QUESTION: is there any way to delete ‘sent’ messages from the new feature, MESSAGE ME?

Hey, I think you should know that for quite some time, the Currently Watching thing that you can put on your site has not been working. No matter what you type in, it just shows a little box with a red X in it when you go to Currently Watching and shows no results. But the same thing you type in shows things in other categories. Can the Xanga staff please fix that? Thanks!!!

Hey Patrick! Found you thru the “boost” thingy. You have taken some really beautiful pictures! The ones of Yosimite look like paintings! We have mountains here in NH, but they don’t look like that! (come see us in the fall tho) Thanks for sharing them!

Text boxes are where we paste the layout code or the HTML to make the layout work. before you guys did this whole new setup with xanga & you re-did the weblog entries the text boxes have been working fine. now all the codes like stick together and they dont work. please fix this & tell me what happened!
